Vidya Balan brings to life the character of Vidya in the film. She is a Regional Forest Officer in the Forest Department. Someone who is fully committed to the protection of wildlife. Suddenly she gets a transfer to an outlying village. She gets that new appointment with a lot of challenges. Shortly after her arrival, the lives of the villagers in this village, who often live in the jungle, suddenly change. Their lives began to falter from the moment an LTTE cadre arrived in the jungle and became a threat to everyone’s lives. Sherney’s film explores how science intertwines with the villagers and the LTTE.
